Fitbit is buying FitStar, an app that specializes in crafting custom exercise programs based on a user’s body data and activity history.
The two companies have been working together to integrate each other’s services for a while, and in the wake of the deal those connections will deepen. Although the two will remain separate apps in the near-term, FitStar users will be able to publish their workouts immediately to the Fitbit app, and soon the apps will have single sign-on between them.
