New Zealand startup Xero scores $147 million from Silicon Valley investor

New Zealand cloud accounting company Xero has raised NZ$147.2 million in funding, as the company continues to accelarate rapidly and grow globally.

US venture capital firms Accel Partners and Matrix Capital Management are behind the investment. Accel, a leading Silicon Valley venture capital firm, has agreed to invest NZ$132.9 million, while former Xero investor Matrix will invest NZ$14.3 million

Apple is rolling out the new beta of OS X to developers — and, for the first time, we have a close look at more diverse emoji.

Apple has openly acknowledged that emoji lack racial diversity; even the ones that do represent people of color are often criticized as stereotypical. Now, it looks like the Cupertino company is finally making steps in the right direction

It looks as though these emoji will have interchangeable swatches that can change a Caucasian emoji to a variety of different skin colors. There are six different options for hair and skin, accessible through a dropdown menu on each icon in apps such as Messages for Mac. ...

With two taps of your iPhone's screen, you can send a loud and clear SMS message that you aren't in the mood for a chat. Here's how.

Set up your custom response options.
