The YouTube app on Apple TV just got a few big upgrades, including (for the first time) full access to all of the video-sharing site’s content library
Apple’s set-top box now includes all YouTube videos; in the past, the catalog was limited and didn’t include much of YouTube’s more popular content. Searching for a popular music video, for example, might yield results for parodies and covers, but not the song from the original artist. That shouldn’t be a problem anymore, according to YouTube.
The YouTube app update for Apple TV also includes a predictive search function, personalized recommendations and the option to subscribe to accounts directly through the set-top box. In a video that highlights the new features (above), YouTube says the upgrade will bring the “full YouTube experience” to users’ TVs. …
